Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!!  We had a wonderful Turkey Day.  We didn't get to go home for the holiday but got a special treat when Brad's sister Julie and her fiance Cameron came to visit us!  We had a great time hanging out, playing games, eating, eating, and eating!  Micah got to try a little of everything and really enjoyed the new tastes. We got a laugh out of the fact that our turkey weighed just about as much as he does!  Here is our day in photos:

Farewell Shaw!

We had our official farewell on Friday at the Squadron.  Whenever a pilot is leaving they will always do a fun get together where after work all the families come and Commander officially says goodbye to the pilot by giving a short speech on their accomplishments while at the base then the pilot can say his parting words to the guys.  We won't be actually leaving for awhile but since December is filled with the holidays and everything else the month comes with we piled onto the November farewells and did one big one. It was a fun night with a burger burn (note the smokey pictures) and lots of friends.  Even though it was dark, smokey, and there were kiddos running all about, we still managed to get some good pictures! Thanks Becky!

This is a clip of all the lovely things our commander had to say about Brad at his farewell!

Daddy time- Playing chase

Last night we had some precious time as a family. We got home from dinner and Micah was in such a good mood that instead of going straight to bed we just hung out and played for awhile. Brad would hide behind the door then Micah would go look for him. Brad would "jump out" and Micah would squeal excitedly and "run away." We just had so much fun spending that time together. These are truly the moments that make life so sweet.

Hey Little Walker!

Micah is getting around quite nicely now. He is crawling at pretty much warp speed and starting to get around on two feet as well!

Daddy Time! Playing catch

Micah loves his Daddy more every day. When he comes home from work Micah will get SO excited and crawl as fast as possible toward him. Daddy decided it was time to learn to play catch. Micah didn't really get the concept but I can certainly tell you he had fun!!

We are in trouble Part II

Yet another reason why we are in for it with this kiddo... he is already trying to sneak out the window!

Fun pics of Micah at 8 months

Here are some fun pics we have taken over the past couple of weeks.  Micah is just growing like a little weed and becoming such a big boy.  He really gets around with ease whether he is crawling or walking holding onto things.  He is also successfully feeding himself small finger foods which he has been working on for awhile.  We are pretty sure he gets cuter every day!

Our little Tiger! Micah's first Halloween

For Micah's first Halloween we had a good friend lend us a tiger costume that her son wore last year.  It was perfect since as I have mentioned before Brad is in the Tiger squadron.  Micah was not too sure about this costume at first and really didn't like Mommy drawing on his face.  But once he was all made up he was just too cute for words! We took him to the church for the fall festival there and although he was too little to really enjoy any of the festivities we had fun walking around and he was very entertained by all the other kiddos in their costumes!  All in all, a success!
