Our Days in the Hospital

We enjoyed our stay at the hospital.  It is a little different the second time around.  It was more of a mini-vacation from our two year old than recovery from labor haha!  I was surprised that the facilities were so similar to the hospital I had Micah at in Sumter.  I figured having him in a small town with one hospital and having her in a big city in a really nice part of town it would somehow be fancier here.  I would say although mostly very comparable, there were even some nicer things about Sumter! The nurses were nice and we were all very well cared for.  Hallie got the hang of eating immediately and barely made a peep much less cry for the first 24 hours so we had a pretty easy go!

Catching up on blogging, here is Micah meeting his little sis for the first time.  He came up to the hospital with Daddy and Grandma and was very good, just had a tad too much energy for such a small space with so many interesting things to get into!  He and Grandma wrapped a present for Micah to give to Hallie and he was very excited to do that!  He gave her a little doll (which he calls her dolphin) and for weeks he would not let that doll be more than 6 in away from her.  He made sure she had it at all times!  He is very, very sweet to her from day one and even two months later there has not been a time where he has done anything to intentionally hurt or be mean to her.  He loves his little sister and constantly smothers her with kisses! 

The day before I went in to "be induced" I had a small moment of panic when I realized that the big brother shirt that I intended for Micah to wear to the hospital to meet Hallie had gotten packed away with the clothes I had sorted (my fault!) I just didn't know what I would do if he didn't have a big brother shirt!  Luckily for me I have the sweetest and most talented friends!  My friend Anna came to my rescue by helping me to make him this cute shirt (she did 90% I did 10%) at the very last second.  She lives so close to me and we have really enjoyed crafting together.  This though so so wonderful of her to spend her entire evening doing for me!
